Joins us for an awarness raising session on LGBTQ+ experiences of intimate partner violence which are often invisble within societal policy and service provision. During this talk we will look at the recent evidence base:

1. Estimated prevalence levels of LGBTQ+ IPV
2. The socio-cultural factors that influence the risks.
3. The health impact on those LGBTQ+ subjected to IPV.
4. Barriers in LGBTQ+ disclosing IPV and accessing support.
5. Methods to promote LGBTQ+ inclusive IPV support.

There will be case examples drawn from LGBTQ+ people which provide the narrative of their lived experiences.

The talk waill be delivered by an LGBTQ health researcher: Dr Steven Maxwell
